BEGINNER AGILITY:
The goal of the Beginner Agility class is to develop skills to perform short sequences between the dog/handler team on American Kennel Club (AKC) agility equipment, with special emphasis placed on dog safety. Beginning coursework will be covered in this class. Focus will be on rewarding the proper performance of all obstacles.

Prerequisites for enrollment in Beginner Agility class are applicable to the dog seeking enrollment in the class:

The dog and handler must have:
1. Successfully completed TCKC’s Fundamental Agility Class;

OR

The dog and handler must have:
2. Earned a Companion Dog title in AKC or UKC (CD or U-CD); and
3. Be evaluated by the Agility Coordinator and/or Director of Training to determine if the participant and dog can adequately perform those skills taught in TCKC’s Fundamental agility class.

OR

The dog and handler must be:
4. Evaluated by the Agility Coordinator and/or Director of Training to determine if the participant and dog can adequately perform those skills taught in TCKC’s Fundamental agility class.
